Hello, and thanks for stopping by. If you're still wondering what's this all about, then we probably still have some work to do. So, here goes;

Lion & Bear is our family business. Me (Chris) and Bea love to research, experiment and bring products to life which help to nourish 'wellbeing'.

We grow mushrooms, make powders, tinctures, extracts and flavours. Then blend and infuse them to make products such as coffees, sweets and smoothies.

Here in our online store, we bring only the best of our creations to scale and send out into the world. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Light Bulb Moment

A few months into an excited exploration into growing oyster and shiitake mushrooms we were inundated with fresh mushrooms. Being unable to offload them faster than they were ripening. We decided to dry and preserve them.

As we explored product ideas to encompass our dried mushrooms we came across an abundance of research into the health properties of mushroom extracts.

Fung-ctional Focus

As we experimented with our own mushroom tinctures and extracts we were thrilled to experience noticeable improvements in our focus and productivity and so, we set about designing a product range that could fulfil these changes in others too.

Today our products are produced in-house, home grown and some are sourced from overseas. In these instances, we ensure that our suppliers are of the highest quality.

Products

Organically Certified

Where possible we buy organic produce. This is important especially when it comes to our mushroom extracts due to their high concentrations and naturally absorbent characteristics.

Whilst the majority of our products are 100% made from certified organic components, we are often unable to express this on our packaging due to the expense of certifying ourselves.

3rd Party Tested

Our products are batch tested for heavy metals, pathogens, pesticides and allergens

By following a strict compliance process, we can be confident the base materials of our products are of the highest authenticity and grown in areas far away from pollution and industry. Often in areas surrounded by dense rainforest.

Highly Concentrated

Our extracts are among the most potent available. Our mushrooms are chosen specifically because of their purity. Concentrated without the inclusion of the mushroom powder or any other fillers.

Look out for the concentration ratio of base material to extract e.g. 10:1, the percentage of key compounds such as Polysaccharides e.g. >30% and the quality of the ingredients; i.e. made with 100% mushroom fruiting body.
